Christa Packman, RMT & Doula

I believe that every patient is unique therefore every treatment needs to be unique. As a registered massage therapist with post-graduate courses, I’ve learned a variety of tools and techniques including Swedish massage, deep tissue therapy, myofascial release and stretch, pre-and post-natal massage, cupping therapy and hot stone massage. I graduated from the college of massage and hydrotherapy in 2004, I have worked in a large clinical setting for the past 18 years, I decided that I wanted to start my own practice here in a smaller clinical setting, where I was able to take extra time with my patients to ensure that they were receiving the best and highest level of care possible. In January 2022 I opened Otonabee Massage & Wellness where I am able to do so. I take pride in actively listening to my patients to provide an individually tailored and therapeutic approach to assisting every patient on their path to recovery and optimal health.

(Christa is currently not accepting new patients.)

It is so exciting to be joining the Otonabee Massage Family (May 2022). I have 13 years of clinical Registered Massage Therapy experience. I have treated all ages, with a special focus on therapeutic treatment of each individual’s unique condition. My passion is prenatal and infant massage. Having the background experience as a certified doula has given me real hands-on experience, which helps me understand what the body goes through as it changes during pregnancy. I am also certified in hot stone massage and cupping therapy. My belief is that you can achieve a therapeutic treatment while incorporating a focus on relaxation. I love what I do and thoroughly enjoy helping people physically and emotionally through their journey in life. I’m looking forward to meeting all of you and helping you on your path to health success.

I started my career at the Four Seasons Spa in Yorkville after graduating from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2012. At the spa, I learned the value of relaxation in such a busy and commonly stressed society. I wanted to further my clinical knowledge, so after taking time to travel abroad, I started at a clinic in Ajax where I’ve been working for the past eight years. I use various Swedish massage techniques; including myofascial release, trigger point therapy, joint mobilization, stretching, deep tissue, and relaxation. I enjoy a smaller clinic’s intimate setting because I like to take the time to offer a personalized service to every client. I enjoy providing clients with the tools and knowledge to lead healthy, active lifestyles and ultimately maintain wellness. See you soon!
